When it comes to stroke, time is critical in saving lives. (As soon as the Stroke Protocol is activated, all departments are notified and ready to initiate stroke care upon the patient’s arrival. Lab, pharmacy, and radiology are all notified and ready to perform their life-saving function for the patient.)
