Mental Health Therapy Providers

Kara Glendening, MSW, LCSW, CCFI

Kara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Child Forensic Interviewer who has been providing outpatient mental health services for many years. She has been part of the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center family since 2008, with her current role being the Clinical Supervisor and a Psychiatric Social Worker at Memorial Counseling Center. Kara attended the University of Southern Indiana where she earned a masters of social work degree in 2006 and obtained her clinical licensure in 2009. Since graduation, Kara has continuously practiced in the outpatient mental health setting utilizing a variety of treatment modalities. She has provided outpatient services to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health needs. She has training in several areas of mental health and additional training and certification in assisting child survivors of sexual abuse. Kara is also a certified trainer for the adult, youth, and public safety models of Mental Health First Aid.

Jessica Miller, MSW, LCSW

Jessica received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Southern Indiana. She received her clinical licensure in 2015. Jessica has been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years. Jessica prefers to see children, adults, and couples. She has training in substance use/abuse, self-harm behavior, and the scope of life changes and challenges.

Vicki Painter, MSW, LCSW, RAS

Vicki has over 15 years of experience in the Social Work field and currently provides counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families experiencing a variety of challenges. Vicki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned a master’s in social work degree from the University of Southern Indiana. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Earlham College. Vicki has also been a Registered Addictions Specialist (RAS) since 2012. She believes in utilizing a strengths-based perspective along with a person-centered approach to empower individuals, couples, and families to grow and heal. Vicki is trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy techniques, and Gottman’s The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Vicki also provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, play therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy and coaching when it comes to modalities of treatment. Vicki has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, hospital, school, in-home, and residential. She has experience helping children, adolescents, and adults process trauma, improve self-esteem, enhance healthy relationships, reduce disruptive behaviors, manage anxiety and depression, navigate through life transitions, provide crisis intervention, and overcome addictions.

Meera Vasquez, MSW, LCSW

Meera Vasquez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with clients and their families to identify their goals and collaboratively work to achieve them. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and her master’s degree in social work from Dominican University. She has over 10 years of experience working with individuals, children, adolescents and adults in outpatient and community-based settings. Her approach to therapy incorporates several schools of therapy, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Her areas of focus include trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Meera speaks Spanish and has an extensive history working with Spanish-speaking clients. Meera’s goal is to create a safe space for individuals to come and heal, build hope, and promote resiliency.

Diane Bachman, MSW, LCSW

Diane received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from University of Southern Indiana. She became a Licensed Social Worker in 1994 and a Licensed Clinical Social Work in 2002. She has been practicing for over twenty years. Diane enjoys working with all ages from children to the elderly. She has received training in trauma utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy in addition to a variety of areas such as, depression, anxiety, grief, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, and many more.

Medication Providers

Jane Parker, MD

Dr. Parker received her medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed a psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Parker has over 25 years of psychiatry experience in both a private practice and hospital settings. Dr. Parker is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and was named Memorial Hospital’s Little Company of Mary Outstanding Physician Award recipient in 2016.

Vishal Viswam, MD

Dr. Viswam received his medical degree from the University of Kerala in India and completed an internship and residency in psychiatry at St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. Additionally, he received a master of science degree in rehabilitation counseling from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Viswam’s area of specialization spans a diverse range of adult mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Heather Nicholson, PMHNP-BC

Heather is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and received her master's of science in nursing degree from Indiana University. She has over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health and treats both adult and geriatric patients.

Olivia Taylor, PMHNP-BC

Olivia is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who received her masters of science degree in nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. She has experience in treating both adult and geriatric patients.

Lusine Vardanyan, PMHNP-BC

Lusine received her bachelor of science degree in nursing and her master of science degree in nursing and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and is board certified.
