Sportsmetrics: Sportsmetrics is a research and evidence-based training program designed to safely and effectively return athletes to sports or activity following ACL injury or reconstruction, as well as other knee and lower extremity injuries.
Lymphedema Management: Lymphedema is a swelling due to trauma, surgery, or inherited deficiency in the lymphatic system. We have lymphedema therapists in both occupational and physical therapy that can help manage these symptoms through manual lymph drainage techniques, bandaging, and exercises.
Vestibular Rehabilitation: This service utilizes Frenzel video goggles and hands-on assessment to treat people with dizziness, spinning, light headedness, and balance loss.
Pelvic Health: Pelvic health services include treatment for stress and urge incontinence, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, pregnancy, postpartum care, and back pain related to pregnancy.
Dry Needling: Dry needling is performed by a physical therapist using an acupuncture-type needle for the treatment of pain, neuromuscular dysfunctions, and movement impairments.
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST): This service uses light touches to the bones of the head, spinal column, and sacrum to provide relief from migraine headaches, neck pain, back pain, and more, as well as to decrease stress from chronic injuries.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy: The service utilizes a specialized tourniquet system while exercising, which allows significantly lighter weight to be used while still creating a hypertrophy (growth) and strength response. It can be used for a variety of conditions when criteria are met.
Direct Access: Physical therapy and occupational therapy services can now be received without a provider's order for up to 42 consecutive days (this excludes government insurances such as Medicare and Medicaid).
Industrial Rehabilitation: Memorial Hospital's Rehabilitation Services partners with some local employers to provide on-site industrial rehabilitation services for physical and occupational therapy and includes on-site treatment of workplace injuries, prevention strategies, and job-site analysis.
