Memorial Health Employer Services staff members are Department of Transportation (DOT) certified urine drug screen collectors as well as certified to collect hair samples for analysis. Urine samples are collected for DOT and non-DOT drug analysis. In addition, staff members will collect urine for pre-employment, post-accident, random, and “for cause” purposes as requested. Staff may also be available to come on-site where appropriate facilities are available to perform these services and ensure the chain of custody federal guidelines are followed for all drug screens. These guidelines are followed for all drug screens to ensure accurate results every time. Both Memorial Health Employer Services and the Laboratory also perform Rapid Drug Screening using eScreen.
Breath Alcohol Testing can be requested for DOT physicals, post-accident services, or random testing purposes.
eScreen
eScreen is an innovative method of producing rapid results with two options of reporting methods including:
- eLink Web Reporting where test results are available via a secure website just minutes after the lab reports are processed
- Auto-Fax, a fully-automated fax reporting system that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides negative test results half an hour after the lab processes the results and immediate posting of positive results following the Medical Review Officer’s verification.
Positive results are forwarded to a certifying scientist at a Federally-certified laboratory for gas chromatology to ensure accuracy. eScreen is offered locally by Memorial Health Employer Services and the Memorial Hospital Laboratory.
