Exceptional Cancer Treatment Services Since 2007

With tremendous community support for the addition of more local services, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center became a reality in 2007. Since then, our oncology team has been dedicated to providing award-winning cancer care to our community to those affected by cancer and blood disorders. The facility was named "Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center" in recognition of a very generous donation by Mary (Fuhs) Lange and the late Clem Lange, who, along with their family, are owners of Best Home Furnishings in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Cancer treatments typically focus on chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgery. Your experienced team of medical professionals will guide you through your treatment options and describe which methods would be most effective for your unique condition and requirements. We focus not only on treating the cancer, but also preparing patients for life once their treatment has concluded. At Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, you are not alone in this fight.

Medical Oncology

The medical oncology area is designed specifically for providing cancer care in a space that is comfortable and filled with natural light. Patients have the option of receiving treatment in open, semi-private, or private treatment areas. Family members are welcome to stay with their loved ones during their treatments or relax in the nearby family lounge.

Radiation Oncology

A skilled team of caring medical professionals treat patients needing radiation oncology services with state-of-the-art equipment. A linear accelerator provides intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), which matches the shape of the radiation beam to the shape of the tumor. This is one of the most advanced methods of radiation therapy, using high doses of radiation to precisely target tumors, while also sparing the healthy tissue surrounding the tumor.

Integrative Medicine and Cancer Care

At Memorial Hospital, we know that treating cancer itself is only half the battle. That’s why the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center offers a wide array of free resources to cancer patients and their families designed to help with the emotional and spiritual challenges that cancer creates.
