Patient & Visitor Screening Policy

Visitor Policy

Visitors are encouraged to stay with the patient for emotional support during the course of the stay unless the patient's condition or treatment requires a limitation to visitors. Visitation will be limited if it infringes on the patient’s or others’ rights and/or safety. In addition, community transmission prevalence of viral illnesses may impact visitation.

  1. Entrances to the hospital remain limited.
  2. Any patient is encouraged to wear a mask if they wish to do so and may ask caregivers to wear a mask while providing care.
  3. Children are not to be left unattended.
  4. If an overnight visitor is needed, only one is preferred.
  5. COVID positive patients may have one visitor age 12 or older. This visitor must stay in the patient’s room and wear appropriate PPE.
  6. PLEASE INQUIRE WITH THE DEPARTMENT ABOUT VISITOR POLICIES FOR: Inpatient Rehab Center and Behavioral Health Services.
  7. Women and Infant Services (OB) postpartum visiting hours are 10am - 12pm and 3pm – 6pm daily to promote family bonding and maternal rest. During labor and delivery, two banded visitors - age 12 or older - are allowed (same two throughout labor and delivery). Visitation for banded visitors is unrestricted.
  8. Visitors must limit interactions with others in the hospital and stay in the patient room (going to the Tower Café for food is allowed).
  9. Use of tobacco and e-cigarettes on the hospital campus is prohibited.
