The Skilled Caring Center, located on Level 3 of Memorial Hospital and
Health Care Center’s Barrett Building, is a fully independent, short-term
(30 days or less), skilled nursing facility that provides 24-hour professional
nursing care as well as physical, occupational, speech and respiratory
therapy; social services; activities and nutrition services. Therapeutic
and religious programs are provided by the activities staff, and assistance
with admission, discharge and transfers is provided by a social worker,
as well as assistance with Medicare and Medicaid benefits, for skilled
nursing care.
