Details: According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, more people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year in the United States than all other cancers combined, and one person dies of melanoma every hour. With the summer upon us, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is presenting “Understanding Skin Cancer & the Importance of Cancer Screenings and Prevention” on Thursday, July 11 from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. in Jasper, Indiana. Oncologist Karim Anwar, M.D. will discuss the different types of skin cancer, screening guidelines, and tips for prevention. This presentation will be held in the Medical Arts Conference Center, located in the Medical Arts Building, 721 W. 13th Street, Jasper. A free dinner will be provided.
