What screenings will be included?
Blood Pressure, Height & Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumference, Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Cholesterol Ratio, Triglycerides, Blood Glucose, Chemistry Panel lab test, and Tobacco status. Needle draw (venipuncture) is used to obtain blood for Lipid Profile and Chemistry tests. An optional PSA screening (blood test) will also be available to men 50 and older or those at a high risk for prostate cancer. An optional colon cancer take-home screening kit will also be available. Colon screening is recommended annually for adults 50 and older. A personal health risk assessment will be provided for you on-line. Additional tests will include the Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Complete Blood Count (CBC), and A1C blood tests.
Who is it for? All Employees
When/Where? Tuesday, September 12th from 07:30 am to 09:30 am
Do I need to fast? Yes—12 hours. Take medication as prescribed. (We will schedule individuals with diabetes early if requested.) Drinking water is permitted and highly encouraged.
Why do screenings? To keep you informed of your health status. To encourage you to practice healthy habits. To monitor improved health from year to year.
How long does it take? About 20 minutes. Appointments will be made every 15 minutes.
