Stigma is defined as a mark of shame or disgrace. Mental health stigma not only refers to the way others negatively react to someone dealing with mental health issues, but also the way that person thinks about himself or herself. The effects of mental health stigma can result in delay of treatment, isolation, additional mental health issues, and decreased recovery. Aaron Blair, M.D., Family Medicine Physician, will present “Mental Health Stigma & How We Can Create Positive Change” on Tuesday, February 21 from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. CT at The Micah Center at Dale Presbyterian Church, located at 6 N. Main Street in Dale. Light snacks will be provided.

Dr. Blair received his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed a residency in family medicine at Franciscan Family Medicine Residency in Indianapolis. He provides health care services to families at Dale Family Medicine.
