What screenings will be included?

  • Blood Pressure, Height & Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumference, Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Cholesterol Ratio, Triglycerides, Blood Glucose, Chemistry Panel lab test, and Tobacco status.
  • Needle draw (venipuncture) is used to obtain blood for Lipid Profile and Chemistry tests.
  • An optional PSA screening (blood test) will also be available to men 50 and older or those at a high risk for prostate cancer.
  • An optional colon cancer take-home screening kit will also be available. Colon screening is recommended annually for adults 50 and older.
  • Optional TSH, CBC, and Hgb A1C blood tests will also be available.

Do I need to fast?

  • Yes, fasting is required to go through the screening, at least 12 hours.
  • Take medication as prescribed. (We will schedule individuals with diabetes early if requested.)
  • Drinking water is permitted and is highly encouraged. It helps keep more fluid in your veins, and can make it easier to draw labs.

What does it cost?

  • The cost of the basic screening will be paid by the company for all Insured Employees, Insured Spouses, Insured Board Members, and Insured Retirees
  • All men wishing to take the PSA blood test will need to pay an additional $21.00 and the colon cancer kits are an additional $9.00.
  • The optional TSH and CBC blood tests are $13 each and the optional Hgb A1C blood test is $20.
  • Non-Insured employees will need to pay $40 for the screening.
  • The fees for these additional tests will be collected the day of the screening.

How long does it take?

  • About 20 minutes. Appointments will be made every 15 minutes.

Is there an incentive?

  • Health Screening: Insured participants that complete the screening will receive $50 toward their Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Health Standards Met: Those that meet 3 of the 5 screening standards (BMI, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Glucose, and Tobacco) will receive an additional $50 in their HRA or HSA.
  • BMI Reduction: 2 or more BMI point reduction from year to year screening will receive an additional $20 in their HRA or HSA.

Incentive Standards to be used:

  • Cholesterol: ≤ 210
  • Blood pressure: ≤ 125/80
  • BMI (Body Mass Index): ≤ 26.5
  • Tobacco/Nicotine Use: Negative
  • Glucose: < 100
