Dr. Jeffrey Hallett Appointed to Medical Staff

Jeffrey Hallett, M.D. was recently appointed to the active medical staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Dr. Hallett is a gastroenterologist, which specializes in the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the digestive tract. Some of the conditions he treats include colon polyps and cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn), gallbladder and biliary tract disease, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and various other digestive disorders. He also performs procedures including esophagogastroduoenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, ERCP, and other advanced endoscopic techniques.

Dr. Hallett received his medical degree at University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. He completed a residency and fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis. He is board certified in gastroenterology and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Hallett is also actively involved in medical missions to Kenya and teaching endoscopy to African surgeons. He currently serves as a gastroenterology/endoscopy champion to Friends of Tenwek, a U.S.-based, non-profit organization dedicated to developing relationships and resources that help Tenwek Hospital in Kenya.
