Family Nurse Practitioner Chelsea Cummins Joins Petersburg Family Medicine

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is pleased to announce the addition of Family Nurse Practitioner Chelsea Cummins to the staff of Petersburg Family Medicine in Petersburg, Indiana.  Nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who are educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness as well as chronic health conditions. Nurse practitioners conduct history and physical exams, and may order diagnostic tests and medical treatments, including prescribing medications. 

Cummins received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana, and her master’s in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Cummins has worked as a family nurse practitioner in the Vincennes and Washington areas for the past four years.
