"Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is sponsoring a finger stick only "Cholesterol and Blood Glucose testing" from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Southside office on 12th Ave.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older and will have cholesterol (including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides) and blood glucose checked via finger stick. A 12-hour fast is required; however, you may drink water and take prescribed medications.
The cost is $25 and may be paid at the screening. The screening lasts approximately 15 minutes, and pre-registration is required."
Online registration will be unavailable 24 hours prior to the start time of testing.
One participant will be scheduled every 15 minutes.
A refresher course to review the proper techniques for Medic First Aid - Basic. You MUST bring your CPR Card to class.
This course can also be scheduled at the worksite. For more information about worksite classes, please call 812/996-2399. Medic First Aid Bloodborne Pathogens class can be added to this course to provide participants with the knowledge to reduce or eliminate the occupational risk of bloodborne pathogens. This class is designed to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. We practice yoga through the gentle use of “Chair Yoga.” While geared toward ages 55 and older, all are welcome.
