Location: Hospital Board Conference Room B/C. These classes are FREE for moms who deliver at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. You do not need to confirm your reservation.

This class is designed to give valuable guidance and current recommendations for not only a successful pregnancy but a smooth transition to that critical time after the birth of the baby. While the class is geared for expectant moms and their support person before the 6th month of pregnancy, the class can be attended and found useful for expectant parents regardless of what stage of pregnancy. These classes are FREE for moms who deliver at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. You do not need to confirm your reservation. Class fee is $15.00 for anyone not delivering at Memorial Hospital. Please register only the Mom's name.

This breast-feeding support group is hosted for moms and their newborns. Subject areas include weight checks, mom-to-mom support, and mom and baby transitions at home such as pumping and returning to work and adding solids.

The FertilityCare program refers to a natural method to avoid or achieve pregnancy. The Creighton Model coordinates with a couple’s fertility cycle without the use of drugs or contraceptives. The program teaches the couple to identify the woman’s fertile and infertile days in order to achieve or avoid a pregnancy. This program is available through Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Instructors have been trained through the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. The program content follows the moral teachings of the Catholic Church. Couples attend an introductory session, and may then schedule up to eight individual follow-up appointments with their instructor to explain details of the program, review the couple’s chart and answer questions. Regular appointments assist the couple in feeling confident to use the method. The FertilityCare program is safe, morally acceptable, easy to learn, inexpensive and can precisely identify the true days of fertility and infertility. The method is shared by both the man and woman as they grow together and plan their family.

This American Heart Association course is designed for lay persons who serve as rescuers on the job and for the general public who have direct access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Skills taught include CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking. This American Heart Association course provides information on how to manage illness and injuries until professional help arrives on the scene. The class consists of four core modules: General Principles of First Aid, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. Skills taught include adult and infant CPR, AED use, and relief of choking in adults, children and infants. In order to receive a course completion card, participants must pass a written first aid test and a skills evaluation in CPR and AED. Two day course, this class meets both July 21 and 28, 2015.
