Getting Rid of Headaches
What causes headaches - including migraines? What can you do to eliminate them? At what point do you need to seek professional medical assistance? To answer these questions, Dr. Clare Braun Hashemi will present “Getting Rid of Headaches” at the HealthMatters program on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Medical Arts Building in Jasper.

Memorial Hospital Receives TMMI Grant
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has received a $2,500 grant from Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Indiana, Inc., for Memorial’s Parish Nursing/Health Ministry program. The funds will be used to purchase additional CPR training equipment.

Huntingburg soon will have a new medical office building located at 407 East 22nd Street. Officials from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center along with the City of Huntingburg held a ground breaking ceremony on Monday afternoon (May 5) at the site of the new “Memorial Medical Office of Huntingburg” on the city’s north side.

Memorial Hospital is in the final stages of installing MEDITECH, which is a health care information system that includes patient identification and scheduling, patient care management, financial management, decision support, and laboratory information systems, etc. The hospital is on track to officially make the switch from Keane, the current system, to MEDITECH on the “go-live” date of Saturday, March 1.
