Getting Rid of Headaches

Memorial Hospital Receives TMMI Grant
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has received a $2,500 grant from Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Indiana, Inc., for Memorial’s Parish Nursing/Health Ministry program. The funds will be used to purchase additional CPR training equipment.

Memorial Hospital to Open New Medical Office in Huntingburg
Huntingburg soon will have a new medical office building located at 407 East 22nd Street. Officials from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center along with the City of Huntingburg held a ground breaking ceremony on Monday afternoon (May 5) at the site of the new “Memorial Medical Office of Huntingburg” on the city’s north side.

Employees Honored At Annual Banquet
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center honored its employees at the annual employee service awards banquet on April 25. Special recognition was given to 136 employees who have reached milestone anniversaries with Memorial Hospital during the last year and have collectively given 1,665 years of dedicated service to Memorial Hospital.

Memorial Hospital Installs New Integrated Computer System
Memorial Hospital is in the final stages of installing MEDITECH, which is a health care information system that includes patient identification and scheduling, patient care management, financial management, decision support, and laboratory information systems, etc. The hospital is on track to officially make the switch from Keane, the current system, to MEDITECH on the “go-live” date of Saturday, March 1.

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center recently appointed A. Brian Roxby, M.D. to the Active Medical Staff. As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Roxby specializes in caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders. Dr. Roxby has not only extensive experience treating cancer; he also is a cancer survivor, having undergone both chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant during medical school.
