



Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Medical Staff is awarding a $500 scholarship to area high school seniors entering a two- to four-year educational program in a health-related field. To qualify, the applicant must maintain at least a "B" (3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale) grade point average. Other criteria for consideration include SAT scores, financial need, and community involvement. A brief essay is required along with letters of reference.
Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office at area high schools, online at www.mhhcc.org, or by calling Memorial Hospital’s Medical Staff Office at 996-0675. Applications are due in the Medical Staff Office by June 15. The winner will be announced by August 1.
The Bethany Volz Medical Staff Scholarship was created in memory of the late Bethany Volz, the daughter of former Medical Staff member, Kim Alan Volz, M.D.
